The River Card Club is a luxurious members only social club in Stanmore N.W London. We are easily accessible by London underground Stanmore station (Jubilee) and Edgware station (Northern) and a number of London buses pass the door. There is also parking facilities at the rear of the premises. Our members enjoy a variety of card and board games which include Bridge, Kazooki, Poker, Whist, Chess, Backgammon, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit and sudoku, while our small cafeteria serves a variety of sandwiches, tea and coffee and non-alcoholic drinks. The club is run by a committee of club members who see to the administration and general running on an entirely voluntary basis. The club opened on 9th January 2006 and our members are delighted to announce that in the first 18 months we have had many Bridge, Kalooki and Poker afternoons and evenings to raise money for charity and to this aim we have so far raised over £160,000 for various charitable committees supporting ovarian cancer, multiple sclerosis Alzheimer's and North London hospice amongst others. Our members come here for the friendly and social atmosphere that prevails in the club. Why not come and join us? |
